Generative AI is emerging as a transformative technology across industries, and its potential in defence is gaining increasing attention. From intelligence analysis to decision support and simulation, generative models are opening up new possibilities for military applications.
To contribute to this field, Embedl will attend the NATO STO Research Specialists' Meeting on Military Applications of Generative AI (IST-238).
Organized under the Information Systems Technology (IST) Panel, this meeting brings together researchers and experts to share knowledge on the state of the art in generative AI and explore its practical use in military contexts.
The event will take place from 24 to 26 March 2025 in Wachtberg, Germany.
Advancing Generative AI for Real World Use
While generative AI offers powerful capabilities, deploying it in defence settings comes with strict requirements. Systems must be reliable, efficient, and able to operate in constrained or sensitive environments. Ensuring traceability, reproducibility, and controlled behavior is essential when applying these technologies in mission critical scenarios.
